The UNLV graduate has more than 10 years of experience with Boyd Gaming and more than 30 years of experience in gaming overall, the Las Vegas-based company announced on LinkedIn.
Goldstein joined Boyd Gaming in 2016 as assistant general manager of the Kansas Star Casino in Wichita. He was promoted in 2023 to vice president and general manager of Suncoast.
In his new role as senior vice president of operations, he will continue to serve as Suncoast GM while also overseeing operations at Aliante and Cannery.
Suncoast, located near Summerlin, was built and opened by Michael Gaughan’s Coast Casinos (formerly Coast Resorts) in 2000. Boyd acquired Coast Casinos, including Suncoast, for $1.3 billion in 2004.
Boyd purchased Aliante in 2016 from a group of private investors (ALST Casino Holdco) for $380 million. The company also bought Eastside Cannery and the Cannery hotel-casino in North Las Vegas in 2016 for $230 million.
The Eastside Cannery closed in 2020 and was imploded in March, and Boyd sold the empty plot in September for nearly $29 million after a homebuilder secured approvals for a new subdivision on the property.
