From floral arrangements featuring poppies and hydrangeas to unconventional venue choices, 2027 weddings will be filled with personal touches and unexpected moments. That’s according to the latest findings from The Knot.
The wedding planning site just released its 2027 Wedding Trends Report, a look at what’s growing in popularity among couples right now.
To compile the list, the editors at The Knot reviewed dozens of trending wedding concepts that they believed could result in widespread adoption across weddings in 2027. Those predictions were then validated by a pre-selected group of wedding vendors from The Knot Vendor Marketplace. Additionally, to provide comprehensive insights, The Knot Worldwide analyzed on-site behavioral data through June 2026, in addition to existing data on its U.S. audience of pre-engaged and engaged couples.
Here are the top 20 wedding trends that are expected to dominate 2027.
Sophisticated Colors
Primary color palettes for 2027 nuptials are predicted to incorporate shades like regal merlot, plums, powdery blues, and moss greens. Secondary colors to supplement these bold hues include blush pinks and champagnes. The Knot reports a 127 percent increase year-over-year in this trend.
Antique Lace
According to The Knot editors, lace is no longer limited to bridal gowns and veils, noting a 280 percent year-over-year increase in the look. The vintage-style fabric is now dressing up wedding stationery, as well as tablescapes and décor. “Lace nods to vintage beauty and antique design, yet it feels modern at the same time,” planner Danielle Elder of Classic Events says in the report.
The Beach Club
Engaged couples are exploring ways to bring the Amalfi Coast to their weddings back home, according to the report. The Knot points to design ideas like spritz bars for cocktail hour, cabana stripes across patio furniture, lemon-embellished tablescapes and stationery, and textiles steeped in sun-dappled marigolds and Mediterranean blues.
“Couples planning multi-day experiences want to incorporate a fun poolside or oceanfront experience for their guests,” says designer and planner Jason Rhee of Rheefined Company. “I also think with Italy being a trendy destination, it’s becoming an inspiration piece for many couples.” The trend has seen a whopping 315 percent increase in interest.
Swans & Balletcore
More couples are taking pointers from Tchaikovsky’s Swan Lake and embellishing their weddings with swan motifs and other balletcore elements such as ribbons, loose bows, textured draping, and crystal, The Knot editors found.
